Our acupuncture fertility program was developed by the only ABORM certified acupuncturist in Milwaukee and one of only four in the state of Wisconsin. We are passionate about assisting couples on their journey to conception naturally and are knowledgeable in combining Eastern medicine therapies and fertility massage with Western fertility treatment to encourage a happy, healthy pregnancy.
Fertility health and concerns can be sensitive and emotional for all parties concerned. Whether you are just starting to plan for your family or have been trying to conceive for a while, acupuncture and traditional Chinese medicine can be helpful in nurturing and supporting your body for conception and a healthy pregnancy. At Orchid Chinese Medicine and Acupuncture in Milwaukee, we offer individualized treatment plans for couples to optimize ovarian function, improve egg and sperm quality, reduce stress, regulate immune factors, promote weight loss, and improve digestion and sleep.
My husband and I struggled to conceive for two years before finding Orchid. From the very beginning, every session with the Orchid team was so warm, welcoming and understanding. I began to receive weekly treatments of acupuncture and eventually added monthly mayan abdominal therapy to my regime. Throughout the process, I found notable differences in my cycle, stress levels and what was probably even more important was that I had partner with Orchid to process the ups and downs of conception.
After 6 months of treatment, we had successfully regulated my cycle and my husband and I were able to conceive our first child. I continued to receive acupuncture weekly through my first trimester to mitigate all of those nasty early pregnancy symptoms. Then, I switched to a monthly visit and these became my favorite prenatal appointments. The tenderness of the staff and the attention to every detail made me feel so supported and loved throughout the whole journey.
I would 100% recommend Orchid to anyone trying to start their family as well as anyone looking for acupuncture in general. They are absolutely amazing and I know we would never have been able to realize our dreams without them. – A.D.
Though infertility can be defined as “the inability to contribute to conception,” very few women are truly unable to conceive. Many women who believe they are infertile are actually out of balance because of an improper lifestyle, diet, stress and other factors that can all reduce fertility. A recent study found that using Chinese medicine over a 4-month period can improve pregnancy rates 2 fold over rates achieved with fertility drugs or IVF and can increase the success of IUI by 50%.

If you are undergoing treatments to conceive, acupuncture and traditional Chinese medicine can also help you. They can help prepare your body for and enhance conception in ART cycles for IVF, IUI and other ART protocols. Studies have shown that acupuncture improves fertility rates when it is used in conjunction with IVF preparation and as support for IVF protocols. It may also benefit you by lessening side effects of IVF and ART treatments, lessening some negative effects of IVF stimulation and enhancing implantation and pregnancy rates. At Orchid Chinese Medicine & Acupuncture, we believe your treatment for fertility concerns should be as unique as you are. Treatment for fertility often ranges from three to ten months, but the length and course of treatments are dependent on individual circumstances. Treatment not only can promote fertility and healthy conception, but is recommended through the first trimester and throughout pregnancy to encourage optimal health for mom and baby. While many Chinese medicine practitioners and acupuncturists offer treatments for fertility conditions, most have not specifically studied fertility health issues and corresponding treatments. Our practitioners have done extensive post-graduate training in fertility health with leading experts around the country and the world and stay abreast of current trends and treatment modalities. We are dedicated to assisting women and men in achieving optimal wellness and balance in their lives.
Our serene, Milwaukee offices promote individualized attention and treatment plans, with the goal of restoring wellness and preventing future illness and injury. If you have more specific questions related to personal health concerns, email us at email@example.com.
