Rebecca Staska Jankowski, C.Ac., MSOM, FABORM
Rebecca Staska Jankowski is a Certified Acupuncturist in the State of Wisconsin with a Masters of Science in Oriental Medicine and Bachelor of Nutrition from the Midwest College of Oriental Medicine. She is nationally certified by the NCCAOM and is a member of the American Association of Oriental Medicine. Rebecca is one of the only four acupuncturists in the State who is board certified by the American Board of Reproductive Medicine (ABORM) in the treatment of fertility and is knowledgeable in utilizing both Eastern and Western medicine to help couples conceive.
Rebecca founded Orchid Chinese Medicine & Acupuncture in 2006 upon graduation. She has since studied with experts across the country and around the world with an emphasis on women's health including menstrual health, reproductive health, pregnancy and postpartum, menopause, pediatrics, and cancer care. She has worked in coordination with Columbia-St. Mary's hospital in their Institute for Women's Wellness and Cancer Care centers. In 2012, she traveled to Bali and worked in a clinic treating women and children with a wide-range of conditions using acupuncture, herbal medicine, and shonishin. She is a member of the CARE Network of Wisconsin and works closely with pregnancy and birth professionals in the area.
Rebecca has a BFA in photography from Parsons School of Design and likes to balance her clinical practice with taking pictures and being outdoors with her husband and dog.
Jaquelyn Widmayer, C.Ac., Dipl. OM
Jaquelyn Widmayer is nationally certified in Oriental Medicine & Acupuncture (Dipl. OM) by the NCCAOM, and is a licensed acupuncturist (L.Ac.) in Illinois and Wisconsin. She received her master's degree from Pacific College of Oriental Medicine in San Diego, CA. The program, consisting of more than 3,400 hours of study, focused on acupuncture, Chinese herbal medicine, and integration with western biomedicine. Completing internships at the San Diego Cancer Center, RIMAC Sport Center, and Rady Children’s hospital provided her with a well-rounded education in several integrative settings.
As a wife and a mommy to two young boys, Jaquelyn is interested in the areas of women’s health and pediatrics, and particularly with helping women to achieve a healthy pregnancy and birth. Acupuncture and Chinese medicine helped her to stay healthy and feel her best before, during, and after both of her pregnancies, and helped her to achieve a natural, and beautiful childbirth experience. After learning that other women often do not experience the same thing, she became passionate about helping others stay healthy and calm when trying to conceive as well as during pregnancy, birthing, and the postpartum period. She loves to incorporate her knowledge as a registered yoga teacher to help women to prepare for their body for pregnancy and labor .
Jillian Beglan, C.Ac., MSOM, PES
Jillian Beglan is a Certified Acupuncturist in the State of Wisconsin with a Masters of Science in Oriental Medicine and Bachelor of Nutrition from Midwest College of Oriental Medicine. Additionally, she became a placenta encapsulation specialist to deepen her knowledge of Chinese herbs. Jillian joined Orchid as an acupuncturist in the beginning of 2012 and she has a gentle spirit that puts patients of all ages at ease.
Jillian works with patients from infants through to elderly. Her patients have been as little as a couple of weeks old as well as those over 90 and everything in between. Jillian was first introduced to acupuncture after sustaining an injury while performing as a professional dancer and performer. She understands the special needs of dancers and as a mother of two, she enjoys treating babies and children. She received additional training with Soma Glick, a renowned pediatric acupuncturist who teaches the non-needle technique of Shonishin. These gentle techniques are particularly good for children, but are also a great alternative for those who are needle-shy.
Outside of the office, Jillian is very active with her children and loves knitting.
Jennifer Prall, LCMT, NCTMB
Jennifer Prall is a State and Nationally licensed clinical massage therapist. She graduated from the Soma Institute, the National School of Clinical Massage Therapy in Chicago with 750 hours of training. Jennifer joined Orchid in 2012 and has been in practice for 5 years. She is a certified in Prenatal, Oncology, and Infant Massage Training. In addition, Jennifer specializes in Swedish, Deep Tissue, and Myofascial Release for helping treatment of such conditions as sciatica, carpal tunnel syndrome, plantar fascitis, and whiplash.
Jennifer is an advocate of using massage to relieve physical stress and pain and believes it is just as important to bring balance to the mind during therapy to enhance its effect. She encourages clients to be active participants in their healing and will tailor massage to one's individual needs.
Prior to graduating from the Soma Institute and starting her massage career, Jennifer was an Interior Designer for 8 years. She still loves design and incorporates it into her life through home decorating and clothing design.
Theresa Kopac, ART
Theresa Kopac is certified in Advanced Reiki through The International Center for Reiki Training. After acquiring a degree in Psychology, she worked for 12 years developing businesses and nurturing community projects and is accustomed to the nature of high stress work.
Theresa grew up in a house with a mother who practiced massage therapy, esoteric healing, reflexology, and reiki. Her exposure at an early age left a deep imprint that, once rediscovered, became an undeniable path. Returning to her roots and passion for caring for others in a healing capacity, she is committed to helping people relieve their stress and pain, create better health, and bring focus back to the enjoyment of life. Through reiki, she places focus on the individual and his/her personal path to a unique sense of balance, well-being, and positive direction.
Colleen Webb, MVP
Colleen is our Practice Coordinator, which means that if you are looking to schedule an appointment, purchase a gift certificate, or stop in for some herbs chances are you are going to meet her. She is passionate about healthy and holistic lifestyle choices and loves helping others acheive their maximum health.
Colleen and her husband just moved to Milwaukee and are loving it. When she's not at Orchid, she's usually making music, doing yoga, riding her bicycle, or taking pictures.
