Rebecca Staska Jankowski, C.Ac., MSOM, FABORM
Founder and Acupuncturist
Rebecca Staska Jankowski is a Certified Acupuncturist in the State of Wisconsin with a Masters of Science in Oriental Medicine and Bachelor of Nutrition from the Midwest College of Oriental Medicine. She is nationally certified by the NCCAOM and is one of the only four acupuncturists in the State who is board certified by the American Board of Reproductive Medicine (ABORM) in the treatment of fertility and is knowledgeable in utilizing both Eastern and Western medicine to help couples conceive.
Rebecca founded Orchid Chinese Medicine & Acupuncture in 2006 upon graduation. She has since studied with experts across the country and around the world with an emphasis on women's health including menstrual health, reproductive health, pregnancy and postpartum, menopause, pediatrics, and cancer care. She has worked in coordination with Columbia-St. Mary's hospital in their Institute for Women's Wellness and Cancer Care centers. In 2012, she traveled to Bali and worked in a clinic treating women and children with a wide-range of conditions using acupuncture, herbal medicine, and shonishin. Rebecca provides support and acupuncture services at Well-Rounded Maternity Center in Bay View and works closely with pregnancy and birth professionals in the area.
Rebecca has a BFA in photography from Parsons School of Design and likes to balance her clinical practice with taking pictures and being outdoors with her husband and dog.
Jennifer Prall, LCMT, NCTMB
Clinical Massage Therapist &
Arvigo™ Mayan Abdominal Therapy Practitioner
Jennifer Prall is a State and Nationally licensed clinical massage therapist. She graduated from the Soma Institute, the National School of Clinical Massage Therapy in Chicago with 750 hours of training. Jennifer joined Orchid in 2012 and has been in practice for 5 years. She is a certified in Prenatal, Oncology, and Infant Massage Training. In addition, Jennifer specializes in Swedish, Deep Tissue, and Myofascial Release for helping treatment of such conditions as sciatica, carpal tunnel syndrome, plantar fascitis, and whiplash.
Jennifer is an advocate of using massage to relieve physical stress and pain and believes it is just as important to bring balance to the mind during therapy to enhance its effect. She encourages clients to be active participants in their healing and will tailor massage to one's individual needs.
Prior to graduating from the Soma Institute and starting her massage career, Jennifer was an Interior Designer for 8 years. She still loves design and incorporates it into her life through home decorating and clothing design.
Theresa Kopac, ART
Reiki Practitioner and Postpartum Doula
Theresa Kopac is certified in Advanced Reiki through The International Center for Reiki Training. After acquiring a degree in Psychology, she worked for 12 years developing businesses and nurturing community projects before committing herself to helping people relieve their stress and pain through reiki. Through this practice, she places focus on the individual and his/her personal path to a unique sense of balance, well-being, and positive direction.
Moved by the birth of her daughter and unexpectedly challenging "fourth trimester" Theresa has expanded her birth doula work and is trained in postpartum care. During the critical period of healing and transition into parenthood, Theresa provides emotional and informational support including breastfeeding basics, soothing techniques, and understanding postpartum and the fourth trimester.
In addition, Theresa brings great structure and balance to Orchid as administrative support. When not in the office or with new families, Theresa spends her time with her husband and sweet little girl.
Kara Pitt D'Andrea, MSOM
Kara Pitt D'Andrea has a background in both business operations and Traditional Chinese Medicine. Upon completing her Master's degree of Oriental Medicine, Kara stepped down from her role as Executive Director of a Milwaukee non-profit day care after 5 years with the staff and families. Having focused her thesis on Postpartum Maternal Recovery with both Eastern and Western medicine, Kara continued her work with growing families in and around the Milwaukee area as a childbirth educator, birth doula, and Certified Lactation Consultant.
Kara's addition to the team at Orchid as clinic director, assists us in providing the best patient care while continuously moving our programs and practitioners forward to better serve our community.
Additionally, Kara holds a Bachelor's Degree in Nutrition from the Midwest College of Oriental Medicine and a Degree in Sociology from the University of Maryland- College Park. Kara lives in Bay View and looks forward to enjoying the Farmer's Market every summer with her husband and two children.
Colleen Webb, MVP
Colleen is our jack of all trades! Since retiring from being in the office, she has been working on making music, teaching yoga, and taking photgraphs! She still helps us out with all sorts of fun projects and we value having her as a part of our team!
